social media
“Social-media presence is important because it’s one of the last ways to conduct cost-effective marketing. Everything else involves buying eyeballs and ears. Social media enables a small business to earn eyeballs and ears“
– Guy Kawasaki
It’s Not Technology – It’s Conversation
Companies that can reinvent themselves to take advantage of constantly evolving technologies will cash in. How we market and how we communicate is changing at a staggering pace. We have moved from messaging aimed at everyone – broadcast marketing, to communications aimed at the few – long-tail marketing, and have arrived at a place where everyone is marketing to everyone. Peer to peer, continuously, ubiquitously. Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Pinterest, the list goes on and on with new players arriving on the scene on a regular basis.
Marketing was for decades predicated on anticipating consumer’s needs and reactions. Now, in a world on constant connectivity, we simply ask them.
Did you know?
76% of American consumers purchased a product after seeing a brand’s social post.
Millennials are more likely to buy a product online (52%) than in stores (48%).
39% of customers only trust brands if they have interacted with them on social platforms.
Facebook users find video content to be the most captivating. Hence, marketers use videos and visuals most extensively on Facebook and its subsidiary, Instagram.
LinkedIn is considered the most effective B2B lead generation channel by 80% of marketers.
Spotlight: The Shore Shoe
New Product Launch
If you become a pilot, you’ll learn in navigation classes that you’re never actually headed directly toward your destination. Navigation is a process of constant correction.
The same thing is true in marketing. Successful marketing involves constant adjustment – constant A/B testing. The Shore Shoe is a stability sandal engineered for walking on sand or any uneven surface.
We’ve been building the brand for this new product and generating sales by advertising across a range of channels.
Facebook video ads, Google PPCs, Floating Billboards, Regional newspapers, PR and human interest stories, all of these together are getting the job done. The owner’s quality of life was improved dramatically by using these shoes, and he wants to help others to reap the benefit as well. It’s a great story to tell.

Some Think Social Media Made Us Dumber.
We Not Think That.
The basics of social networking are easy to grasp, and chances are if you’re reading this that you’re already immersed in a myriad of social networking platforms.
What you have intuitively grasped is that, while many companies are attempting to use the new connectivity for promotional purposes, very few are succeeding. In reality, many are doing more harm than good by using social networking tools inappropriately or haphazardly. To make things more challenging, anyone that has a few days to do online research can learn the basics of social networking and hang out a shingle as an “Online Marketing Guru” or “Social Media Maven.” How do you, as a businessperson, know when you need help from an expert, and how can you determine who is an expert in a field that is constantly evolving?
Bleeding Edge looks at social networking, social media and viral video as part of an overall web marketing strategy. All of the elements are interrelated, all of the pieces are interdependent. You need a partner with the imagination and know how to craft a message that is consistent throughout the entirety of your marketing plan. A partner that can assist you in creating a social networking strategy and then either executing that strategy or giving you and your people the education and tools to move forward independently.

Social Media Video Marketing Package
How Do We Do It? Here’s one approach we’ve taken with many clients that provides a lot of bang for the buck:
The most bang for your buck in spending for your online presence is in SEO and the most bang for your SEO buck is in video. It is easier to rank with video than any other media on search. With Bleeding Edge, you can get short, informative, and entertaining videos shot for your business to supercharge your marketing and improve your search rankings dramatically.
1 Q & A
Over the course of a half day or less, you are going to answer several questions (8 to 10) your clients frequently ask – basically your most heard FAQs.
We’ll give you directions on how to prep for a video shoot. Unless you are not comfortable speaking in public. Let’s face it many people aren’t and that’s ok too. If you want to do it, we coach you. If you don’t want to then we bring in a professional actor or spokesperson for an added fee.
Either way, your info is going to be professionally delivered
2 Preparaton
We’ll analyze your prospective Q & A from an SEO Keyword perspective to make sure your videos will give you the most bang for the buck.
Then We’ll go over those questions with you, both the questions and answers. We tighten up those answers so they only take a minute or two. Usually a bullet point format, though we can also provide a teleprompter if you’re not into memorization.
We’ll give you however much time you need to practice on your own, along with coaching on how to prepare and do your best.
3 Time to Film!
On the day of the shoot, either on location at your place of business or in the studio, we’ll provide a professional lighting and audio setup. For real, it takes more time to set up the lights than it does to film you answering your questions, but the extra effort ensures you’ll look and sound good when we’re done.
We’ll do as many takes as we need to get great takes on your material.
Not only do we make you look good and sound good, we do some additional cool stuff on your behalf.
4 Post Production
We improve your brand identity on the video with logos, bumper music and motion graphics. It doesn’t matter how you look and sound if the visual quality of the video is boring or looks like crap. This will be something you will be proud to show friends and clients.
We create a YouTube channel for you and a FB Business Page if you don’t already have one and post them there in easy to view formats. All with links back to your business web page. Again, great for SEO to have links from YouTube and FB back to your site.
For those that prefer to read than watch out there, we do an edited transcript and submit that to Google too along with the video, all to enhance that important search.
This is a lot of good stuff, isn’t it? But there’s more to our strategy.
5 Release Strategy
We can’t bombard Google with 30 minutes of shiny new video about your business all at once. They don’t like that kind of thing, and more importantly, it doesn’t maximize your search results.
We release 1 video per week. Meaning over the course of 2-3 months all of your videos get out there in bite size pieces and make it very easy to share them around with friends, clients and prospects. All to increase engagement on each one when released.
We utilize all your social media. Is Twitter big with your industry? Maybe Instagram? We post there, use their features like the FB Boost Post feature to increase visibility and point it all back to your site, just like Google likes it.
6 Bottom Line
What you get is professional video quality, professional sound, expert editing, visually appealing and it answers one of your most frequently answered questions, all for the price of $2250.
That means for most of you reading this that one deal or one new client more than pays for this service. And when you think about everything you’re getting, it’s a fantastic value. Professional quality, optimized, brings your whole social media strategy into focus and gets you the most bang for your Google searching buck.
A picture, or in this case, a link and a video is worth 1000 words. Really it’s worth way more than 1000. Some marketers think it’s worth 1.8 million words per 1 minute of video. Just ten percent of that at 180,000 words is still pretty awesome and a great value.
The time or money involved in generating 180,000 words of content is much more than $1250. An average writer on Textbroker.com might charge you 6c per word, meaning your 180,000 words costs $10,800 to buy. And the time required to write all of this yourself is way more expensive too since that’s time taken away from doing your business or marketing your business or taking you away from something else you’d rather do for fun. And remember, you don’t get 1 minute of video, you get up to 20 minutes if you spend 2 minutes each answering 10 FAQ.
The value of this service speaks for itself.
